Hey guys, a little help on this please. so this is the scenario: for example my domain name is: http;//www.blahblah.com if I’m going to have a link under blah blah for talk it should be: http;//www.blahblah.com/talk.html and ill save and publish "talk" in Blue Voda make a link and that’s it right? now this is my question: under talk I want to put another link called "celebrityskin" so it should look like this right? http;//www.blahblah.com/talk/celebrityskin.html ?? so how am I going to save that? cause I tried saving it like this ( talk/celebrityskin ) in Blue Voda but this is what its saying: the above filename is invalid please help me on how am I going to save it under "talk" that should look like this: http;//www.blahblah.com/talk/celebrityskin.html ?? thanks guys! |

No.... When you pulish a "page" in BV, it automatically saves that page in your BV files and assigns the appropriate extension: that is why you need not add any when publishing "talk" to your website www. blahblah.com ... you merely have to publish it as talk If on the talk page you wish to link to your other page talkmore (for instance), you need only link it thus: www.blahblah.com/talkmore.html using the hyperlink tool in BV.... (Your earlier text illustration would have linked to a sub-directory, not even a sub-domain in your VodaHost account....something completely different and unintended, I'm sure! **However, this IS how you link BV sites to a Soho or OSC site if properly installed....)

yeah, i know that if i publish "celebrity skin" it would make a site for that then ill just make a link from the other page "talk" right? and that will be no problem. but the scenario is: blahblah.com is the main site i want to have a subsite under that called talk and under talk is celebrity skin so if i publish celebrity skin it would like this www.blahblah.com/celebrityskin.html not www.blahblah.com/talk/celebrityskin.html which is what i want so the structure would be blahbla.com under that is talk then under both of this is celebrityskin so ill go back to mt question how will i save celebrity skin in BlueVoda to have a structure like that? thanks! |

yes vasli I understand what you mean, but what i wanted to do is under both blahblah.com and talk html like for exmple this page is something like this from the www adress: http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/gen...lp-please.html so if you only put www.vodahost.com it will go to the main site if you put that www.vodahost.com/vodatalk it will go to the vodatalk and if you put that one on the top then it would go to here thats what i wanted to do vasli. |

| Bookmark link? (When on the talk page, you wish to link to a section or specific part? Then that is called "bookmark") .....see here: http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/sea...earchid=150791 You can link to a different page, and to a section within that page, using bookmarks also..... If on the other hand, you simply wish to link text to ANY page or section of a page, then you need to use the hyperlink tool in BV.... *Remember, you do not have to include the proper link in text or content (you can even link an image, as you would an "icon") when using the Hyperlink tool....what matters is the link you enter in the dialog box --the destination-- not the item actually being linked! |
