    Default nav buttons in subdomain

not sure where to post this - i have set up a subdomain and published to it no problems www.movingon1.com/bill
my question is - when i set the links on the nav buttons do they have to read http://www.movingon1.com/bill/index.html in other words does the /bill/ have to be there - the pages were already published to www.movingon1.com and that was causing me problems so i want them in their own domain - see home page botton - "bills view of trip" button
later i will delete them from original site -
