Thread: My published pages menu not working

Here I go again, I have published (Hurray!) and do have things to fix. First, When I go to my site, The google gives me a list of places, ie "Home Page, IMG_0012, ect. I went to the home page. I did get my first page, but my menu button shows error like URL not found. I believe I have not named this properly, so I need to know what I need to name it exactly. On my name I call it Page 2, and when I named it in the httm// I named it page_2. Is this the problem? Thank you, by the way, It is peacepipetrail.com. rename it index then republish.

I'm not sure that is all I have to do, though, how do I rename in BV?
Am I correct to assume, when naming path extentions, no spaces are accepted? If so, how can I name my pages without spaces? See above original thread.

Save your page that you are working on as 'index' (without the inverted commas!). To this by going to file, save as etc. Then publish the page again. Your first page has to be called index for your site to work properly.

You can call your other pages anything you like.

To rename: just open your page in BV, and then File, Save As, and save it as index.

The correct way of linking in the menu bar would be:http://peacepipetrail.com/pagename.html whereas "pagename" is the name under which you have saved your page in BV.

thanks, guys, I am still working on it, you both have been very helpful. I have resaved the index, and now trying to do the linking. Am I correct that no spaces are to be in this linK?

all page after your index can be named what ever you want. just remember to put a _ between words so it would go this_is_my_second_page or what ever choose
