Thread: pleae help

Hi there

I submitted my website www.globaldonor.com to google a while back, yet I cant see any of my pages on the listings when I google my website name...anyone have any idea why?? any advice??

Goggle is playing hard to get. Do a search for google.com/webmasters/guidlines.html
If you follow all the google rules you will get listed, but beleive me, dont bank on google for a couple years. It can take quite a while to get anywhere near the first 4-5 pages for a specific key word. Your playing against everyone in the world.
Google is going to more relative listings results that pull content from specific pages of your site rather than generically returning your home page for a search. The ROI curve use of keywords is something you need to research on the net also, it can up your odds greatly.
If your site is set up right you should see good listings in MSN and Yahoo first, google will come along in time.

Now, if you want to find yourself by keywords, etc - you have lots of work to do - one would be not making your name all run together just cuz it is as the domain.

Another would be to go back into your meta tags and take the seperation out between your keywords, you have this:
organ donations, blood donations, lung donations,
It should be like this:
organ donations,blood donations,lung donations,

don't forget to add an 'ror.xml site map generator' to your site also so web crawlers and map out your
site
