Hi Ivan, I assume you have been through your Google add sense area to the stage where Google has given you a code that you would cut/copy. You then take this code & paste it into a BV html box on the front of your BV page. Press preview & you should have the add showing in your browser.

    Your lack of page titles
Your poor spelling and choice of keywords
    Your poor page description
Together with Poor content on the site will unfortunately mean that Google will NOT have a clue what to advertise on your site. Even if you DO get it to work you will have no adverts showing, certainly not relevant ones.

To be honest unless $0.65 a month is going to improve your life I wouldn't waste your space on your site with adsense as it is not going to change your life.

You need a well established site before this kind of advertising revenue is going to be justifiable to lose important website space.

You also have your 'Home Page' link going to http://www.the-bestbookshop.co.uk/home.html

    This page should NOT exist?

Your home page link should just be http://www.the-bestbookshop.co.uk/

Forgive me I didn't mean any malice... maybe I could have worded it better...

All I am trying to say is forget Google adsense at the moment because the space on the site you will use for it could be put to better use promoting your products. Once the site is doing well, has many regular hits, that is the time to go for the advertising.

It took me three years to get a couple of my sites ready for Adsense and it was certainly worth the wait and the hard work. Looking at your site there are more affiliate links and links to third party products than I can see of your own products and I would not want to see you fall before you can walk.

Sorry if offence was taken, non was intended, honest.

I truly wish you all the best with it. I never deny anyone good luck with their ventures and I hope it works for you.

I started earning $0.56 a month when I set up Adsense, but thankfully those days are far far behind me!.....

    >>> You missed the real point our friend was trying to remind you of: it is best from the very beginning to plan your website carefully and to build it with the precision to both meet your "needs" of today as well as remain versatile to accommodate tomorrows needs as well.....compromising your "layout" to add in what you think is an immediate benefit may not only be far from reality, but much more difficult to modify later on.

Build your website with today's relevance but with room for future growth.

    Thumbs up Re: google adsense

    jiallen,

Have U read this Google Adsense Policy?
I think this is partly what Marincky was trying to highlight U.

    Little or no original content

One of the most important steps in improving your site's ranking in Google search results is to ensure that it contains plenty of rich information that includes relevant keywords, used appropriately, that indicate the subject matter of your content.
However, some webmasters attempt to improve their page's ranking and attract visitors by creating pages with many words but little or no authentic content. Google will take action against domains that try to rank more highly by just showing s****ed or other auto-generated pages that don't add any value to users. Examples include:
    • Thin affiliate sites: These sites collect pay-per-click (PPC) revenue by sending visitors to the sites of affiliate programs, while providing little or no value-added content or service to the user. These sites usually have no original content and may be cookie-cutter sites or templates with no unique content.
    • Doorway pages: Pages created just for search engines
    • Auto-generated content: Content generated programatically. Often this will consist of random paragraphs of text that make no sense to the reader but that may contain search keywords.
    • S****ed content: Some webmasters make use of content taken from other, more reputable sites on the assumption that increasing the volume of web pages with random, irrelevant content is a good long-term strategy. Purely s****ed content, even from high-quality sources, may not provide any added value to your users without additional useful services or content provided by your site. It's worthwhile to take the time to create original content that sets your site apart. This will keep your visitors coming back and will provide useful search results.
There is no problem in being an affiliate as long as you create some added value for your users and produce valuable content that gives a user a reason to visit your site. For example, you could create product reviews, ratings, and product comparisons.

Hi, you should still get something come up even with no content. It worked fine on a completely blank page that I tried using your code. But good page content, titles & key words will help with what is picked up by Google & placed in their ads.
