Thread: Suddenly gone from Google

Hiya all

I'm just curious why a site suddenly disappears from Google after 2 years. I have my own site http://www.atexflooring.ca & I also did my brothers site http://www.durhamcarpet.ca. Both sites were showing up normal on Google and other search engines with the keywords, however my brother's site suddenly dropped.

I registered my brother's site in my name when I build it for him 2 years ago.
Would this be a reason Google would drop it? the keywords are the same as my own site.

Any suggestions?

It would if it was duplicate content.. especially on the SAME server and the domain registered to the same person/company.

Thnx for the reply Karen.

I have some photos that link back to my site. The keywords are the same just worded in a different manner. I can't think of anything else why Google would suddenly drop the site.

lol .. LOOKS the same to me in your meta. They probably have decided the NEW one is a doorway to the old one. Cant say for sure, but, they only list TWO pages for the first site.

I sent Google a reconsideration request. I guess wait and see what happens. Not sure what else could be done at this point.

I guess voda changing the IP address to publish would be irrelevant right? as they copy all the info into the new server.
