I have registered my site as www.mysite.com with google analytics. When its time to add HTML code, should I add the code to every page of the site?

Yes, if you want a true stats package. You need to see what visits you get to each page and not just your home page.
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.
