Thread: Updating my site and SEO?

OK...I published my website www.indianalandmanagement.net a couple weeks back and there is alot of things I want to change...layout, look, menus etc.. But I currently come up number 1 on google with a few different search variations and I don't want to mess that up.
Also, should I get rid of any webpage that is no longer accessible through my website and would I do this from FTP File Manager page?

Well the look of your site shouldnt change the value of your site on the SE as long as the content is the same or better.

I dont know what you mean when you say ftp file manager.. do you mean cpanel file manager? yes you can remove them there. You could also use blue ftp connect to your site and right click delete them there as well.

Oh and one more thing.. make sure these so called search variations are what people really search for, and werent just a hit or two. I had a peek at what youve got on there, and the terms I would think theyd hit you for didnt even come close to what youve optimized or put on your page for.. some of the ones youve listed in keywords will be hit far and few between..and the few variations i tried..including indianna land management...didnt make a strike.

You typed in Indiana Land Management and it didnt come up?
On my awstats I have people entering from google, yahoo, msn and one I've never heard of.

I only have a few of my content pages that Ive found, but I havent had much trouble at all with my homepage.

If they hit with that page.. they must have dug deeper than page one or two to hit it. I didnt see it.. but then google has more than one server.

<edit> ok.. i hit one on the first page but I had to clear and reset it like three times.. so.. its coming up.
