Thread: URL fading away with Google and sitemap issues

Hi everyone, I am in desperate need of assistance. A month ago or more if you typed in relevant wording for my website it came up on page 1 without fail. Now I cannot find it at all and have to physically type the actual URL to bring it up. Unfortunately no one will find me this way.
I don't know if I have upset Google but I am not aware of doing anything wrong and I have not received any messages.

The other thing I have done a sitemap via the tools in BV and followed the instructions stated. When I submitted to google it states your URL and I added /sitemap.xml - is this correct?
I have got a message with
Sitemap type Format Total URLs in Sitemap Indexed URLs in Sitemap Submitted Last downloaded by Google Status Web Sitemap 8 No data available. Please check back soon. Jul 4, 2009 Jul 4, 2009 Errors Sitemap errors and warnings
Line Status Details 52 Invalid URL
This is not a valid URL. Please correct it and resubmit.

I have no idea what I have done wrong or where to go from here.
Please help with suggestions if you can.

Good news got the sitemap working! Still worried about the fact that had a very good ranking and now don't. Should I just wait and see what happens in next week or so with the sitemap?

Well.. you failed to post a url so we cant validate or check anything.. secondly.. you could be hitting a different google data center and its finally just caught up.

google has more than one datacenter. It takes time for them all to spider and merge data.

You have too MUCH in your keywords and your description. This can hurt you. Only whats on the page should be in there.. not the whole site. Each page should have different info.
