some advice on getting a google rating

My site is finally up and running I was hoping for some hints on getting a good google rating.

Yes I did, but there is so much info feel like I'm drowning in it, I've added more key words, but am not sure about this linking business? any simple info for a starter.

well we all start somewhere. Most of the linking business is simply linking to your site as you have done in your signature.

Read one thing, apply it and move on to the next.
