Thread: web site on google?

I have had a look to see if my web site is on Google yet but as far as I can see it's not, although I don't understand how if someone types in let's say, (cream and Jam filling) my web site comes up in Google. How is this if on the search I have done I am not listed in Google, unless my web site address is entered.
Could someone explain please.

You will see that Google has 9 of your pages indexed. Why did you think they didn't have you? If it's because you aren't coming up for certain search terms - that will only happen if you are optimized for them - and with the more competitive ones, you can't expect to see your site in the results on Google for quite a while - even if you are completely optimized.

I never knew it was there automatically, I always thought you had to submit it, just checked on my "infant" site and it shows.
