google search does not show my page

When I type my web site into google or any other search engine the site is not mentioned.
if I type in "andys bodies.net" then it will appear.
What have I missed to get search engines to recognise my site?
Appreciate any help.

You need to optimise your site now......

Your page title "andys bodies" has been picked up by google only.

Give your page a title like " Stock car bodies at Andy´s Bodies" or something similar, then enter a page description.....

Right-click on your BV page (away from any element or object), and you will see Page Properties > Click > Page Properties Dialog Box...

Your site hasn't been "found"
In MSN you can tell them about it, for the others, when you're finished submit a support ticket to VH, they will submit it once for free.

1. Your CONTACT US link lists the link "andys bodys.net/contact" See the space?? Use an underscore, if you need to between page titles, but you do NOT have a space in your registered domain, do you? > Nor should you anywhere else!

2. You have not named/titled your pages, so there is no association for them to "Go" or even be "Found"

You need to do this very basic thing first before you can expect to be listed on Google.........

You have very little content (hardly any) for Google to index. Do not expect much if anything.

Lets keep this nice and simple....

There are 2 ways that you can display/link your web address(URL)

1)...http://andysbodies.net (short url)
2)...http://www.andysbodies.net (full url)

You can use either of these 2 forms, search engines will find either.

Vodahost has made a good point, you need to have more content.

Good Content consists of text describing or talking about your product.

Pictures are used to enhance the textual content, and when you use pics/photos always add an alternative text decription(see belw the pic link)

And lastly, please dont expect to see your changes until google has visited your site again.

It looks like you are making lots of these changes - but realize - being found by the se's is only a small part of the battle - they need to see that others are finding you and linking to you - they also need to see great content - they don't read pictures, so you have to make sure that every picture has an alt description saying what that picture is (using keywords, of course). I expected each of those pictures to be a link to a page about that picture - but not only no alt description, they aren't clickable and there is no information on them - how can I buy them? etc etc etc.

You will also notice I have a button with measurements written in it, I was hoping to put a link to them but for some reason if I double click it the button properties appears, how do I solve this problem?

You are double clicking it in Voda - which is where you fill out the properties - so that when you click it on the live site - it goes to and does what you want it to. (hope you understand that)

On each picture - you need to fill out the properties - right click on the picture in your BV page - and one of the things to fill out is "alternate text" - that's what I'm talking about.

Still got a small problem.
Under the bonnets I have a button but I can't get a link to it as it does not allow that to be done. andysbodies.net
What I want to do is have a button like is there now, to be abler to click on it to link to another page which will have the measurements.
Any help appreciated.

Anytime you type into goole and leave off the .com or .net it will show in the directory if its not in the directory there are several reasons. The site has not been crawled no lkeyword relevant to page and keywords. The best thing to do is leave your url in your signature like I do. When you post here in this forum it is constanly crawled and the signature link will get picked up. And make sure your site is optermized.

There are several reasons thats its not indexed. It has not been crawled, keywords not relevant to page or titles, keyword stuffing whichwill be penalized against the site, just published, not optermized. It can take anywhere from the day you publish to over a month.
Please next time use the search bar on top of the forum because this subject has had many threads relating to this question and you would have found your answers.

http://www.google.com/local/add/businessCenter is the link to add your site to google. one of the better tricks to helping yourself get listed is to to submit your site to as many sites as you can, the more links you have pointing back to yourself the better.

You cant. Google will display what it finds most appropriate to the content searched for.. whether its your meta description or the first words it finds on your page. Google very often SKIPS descriptions and meta tags all together because theyve been spammed so long.

Yahoo and Msn more reliably display the description.

Its not necessary to submit at all.. you should put a link in your signature and when you post ...google will find it.

What is important is that there are TEXT links to all your pages somewhere on some page of the site..so that google can find ALL your pages.
