I am wondering -

I made a website with BV, submitted it to google, and have a few backlinks. Weeks later, google has still not indexed it.

The website I have at the root directory of VodaHost is just an index page, has no links on the page, was not submitted to any search engines, and has zero outside links leading to it. Yet google, yahoo and msn picked it up straightaway.

Just wondering if google views addon domains differently to root domains?

Nope - they don't know the difference at all.

Both of my stores in my signature are addon domains - and they are my a major part of my livelihood.

Without knowing your domain and addon domain, I can't look at it any closer to see if you have other problems.

And if you had your urls in your signature and posts - it would help to get them found. A few backlinks might take forever - and they really don't pay attention to you submitting - contrary to popular belief.
