Your Google Sitemap

I just came across a very cool little piece of software called "ROR".
ROR will create a sitemap for your website. A sitemap makes it easier
for Google and Yahoo to index your site. If you plan on making it
online. You Need To Have a Sitemap!

Click Here to download ROR. It's Free!

1) Download ROR to your desktop
2) Unzip and install ROR
3) Where it says Site URL enter your domain name...Our Domain name is www.vodahost.com whats yours?
4) Click "generate sitemap"
5) when the site map is done, click "save as"
6) save it to your desk top as ror
7) upload it to your public_html folder using blueFTP. If you do not know how to do this, click the below link for a tutorial on the topic

Create a hyperlink from your home page to the xml file. Our homepage hyperlink looks link this http://www.vodahost.com/ror.xml

Thanks for the download prog ROR Generator, Now as I have two boxing gloves for hands how do I use it best?
Do I for instance place the web pages of my site under construction and then they will be sorted or am I as usual barking up the wrong tree?

Don't stress, the first thing to do is get your site up and running. If your
site is not done, ROR will have nothing to map out....Let's not try to put
the horse before the cart.

Steps to follow...

1) Finish site
2) Map site

Thanks for the Sitemap link. Its easy to use.
One question:
Is 'FTP transfer' of the ror sitemap file to my Index folder all that I need to do to complete sitemap upload - anything else that I need to check?

Just upload the complete sitemap to your public_html and create a very discreet hyperlink to it
from your home page. Google will do the rest.

ayup- good one brad! and now that Ive downloaded it. I find I need .NET Framework version 1.1.4322 and cant figure out how to get that to happen!...lol..spent all morning trying to figure out how to upgrade the version I have!..Thanx for the tip!

When I download the file and try to run it I keep getting a message telling me that the compressed file is invalid or corrupted!! I tried several times, and tried saving it under different names, but still get the same error.

Please can you tell me what is wrong here?

Thank you for your e mail to me. I am very new to this. I have a web site at www.pyemet.com. I have had problems with my web master and I am looking to redo my site and take control of it. I am serching for web design programs and then I need to find a host server to get it onto the major search engines. So I will be logging in to look for help. I also need to put up a forums page on my site

The introduction to your posting is a common expressive term used in the North of England(where I am originallu from . Do you have any connections there with UK?

You probably just got a bad download. Delete what you downloaded and try again.

I have downloaded the file using my ftp manager.How do I write the link from my index page of website to this file.(eg with word I end with .doc so what do I finish my hyperelink to this file?)
When I have the hyperlink completed is that it or do I need to do more?

This means that you "probably" have a lot of hyperlink errors on your site.
