| Hello BVH friends, My name is Paul and I had just entered the older version of the Google Analytics Tracking Code into my page html end of body. Here is the older version: <script type="text/javascript" src=" http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js "></script> <script type="text/javascript"> _uacct = "UA-xxxxxx-x" urchinTracker(); </script> This took me about 1 1/2 hours to do then I found a newer version of the Google Analytics Tracking Code which is: <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-xxxxxx-x"); pageTracker._initData(); pageTracker._trackPageview(); </script> My question to you is should I add the newer version or keep the old version I had just installed. What happens if I leave the older version verses the newer version. Any info will be very helpful. Thank You, Paul gaswizard www.qualitylighting.net |
