What am I supposed to do ? Should I just delete this part with my mail address in my sitemap or what else should I change ?
And another question: Do I have to put a link XML or sitemap on each and every page of my website or only on my index page ?

Help will be greatly appriciated.
Thanks to everyone.

Well im lost. You dont put a SITEMAP on your site unless its for the visitor in an html format and then it would be just for them.

An xml sitemap you upload to your site all by itself and if you link to it its in your head section or between head tags

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="ROR" href="sitemap.xml" />

I dont know HOW you got your email address in the sitemap, or what you used to generate it exactly. But yes if thats the only error by all means remove it.

Question Re: site map error message from google

I've created my site map in BV. And then I've published it. When I look into it I see at the end my email address. No idea how that happend. But I try to remove it and see what google "says".
Do you have to link to that xml sitemap at all or is it not necessary ???
I've searched this forum and checked some websites. On some I found a link to xml sitemap at the bottom of the site and on some there is nothing....I'm a bit confused. Sorry, but I'm still new to all this and try to get as much traffic as possible to my website. For what ever reason I don't get much and my website is up and running for about 8 weeks now.
Thanks for all the help.

You need to link to it in the head section. You dont have to physically link to it, where it shows, unless its for the visitor...in fact linking to your xml sitemap where a vistor can click it will just confuse the visitor.

Theres TWO kinds of sitemaps.. one to help visitors navigate, that the SE also read, and one in xml format thats for SE only. If you link to the second one.. its best to do it in the head tags by clicking on page html ...and placing it in between the head tags..gives you the option to do this. This way.. all SE will READ it. If you just up it... and tell google, then only GOOGLE will know.

Thanks a lot Karen for your help. I just placed my xml sitemap in the head section of my index page. I'm not quite sure whether I've done it right. I just opened the website www.brokenhillminerals.com/sitemap.xml highlighted the lot and copied (pasted)everything in the head section. Sorry for another stupid question.
Or did I do something wrong. How would I find out anyway ?
Thanks again

LMAO>>>... no you dont paste the site map there... I just spit coffee everywhere.. but thats one for the books.

Just place a LINK to it in the head section formatted as the one i gave you above and change the TITLE and the sitemap name if its not xml.. for instance it could be title. sitemap and sitemap.html
