Backlinks From Your Own Sites

Like the fool that I am, I recently bought a whole extra account in error instead of adding a a new domain. I have my new domain, but now at twice the price.

Tough luck on me, but it occured to me that as the sites have different IPs I should be able to either exchange reciprocal links or send one-way backlinks from one to another.

Taking this further, I could open more accounts with a view to publishing multiple websites all sending one-way links to each other, without penalty from Google.

Any thoughts on this?

Does it follow that if I open multiple accounts, each one will have a different IP?

So let me get this right.. you want to open loads of VH accounts so you can link from one site to another?

In fact, you will be penalized by Google in a serious and long-lasting (if not irrepairable) fashion, for all sites involved in this "Black Hat SEO" scheme, known formally as a Sybil Attack.
It is not an easy task to link your sites together effectively and avoid the typical warnings all Search Engines have established, but the best advice is to severely limit the type and number of interlinks to focus very carefully on true Contextual page relevancy without falling into another practice of unfairly elevating that context.

All I can say is.. "LOL". SEO is just SOOOO simple but people make it SO hard by trying all kinds of things to rev up pr. Including making sites to link back to your own sites without any reason except for the links.

Well, it's only a thought, but yes, why not? You would only need 7 accounts in order for all sites to link to 3 others one way, and of course for all of them to link to one main site.

When you say "VH are gonna LOVE customers like you" is that sarcasm or are you serious?

You can take that answer BOTH ways, as you wish.

The main point of the replies is that using blackhat techniques will soon be found out and then all your sites could be dropped.

Google also knows where each site is hosted and will act accordingly.

Heh, the usual 'holier-than-thou' judgemental pontification Vasili, I'm not really concerned about whether you think Google will penalise me - in fact I know it won't - and I certainly don't need a lecture on content. I just wanted to know if I would get different IPs from BV and whether VH would mind me having multiple accounts with sites linking to each other.

Unfairly elevating? GImme a break, dude, ALL SEO is 'unfairly elevating.' There is no fundamental difference between BH and WH.

Well AJ once again your peers have attempted to assist you and you choose to display your lack of appreciation or the concept that you think you know something BETTER. If the last is the case.. why did you ask?

Black hat is obviously Black hat especially when you knowingly do it. SE doesnt forgive ignorance, it doesnt have a conscience, thats why those safe guards are in place. Doorway Link Pages which is another name for what youd be doing, rather its subdomains or domains on a different account wont take long to be discredited.

You can attempt to deride the members of voda host all you like in private, but since no valuable input can go forward from here obviously except for who has the bigger balloon.. thread is locked.
