Question Help with Google stuff ;)

I am in the Google webmaster help center and just read this....

Make sure your web server supports the If-Modified-Since HTTP header. This feature allows your web server to tell Google whether your content has changed since we last crawled your site. Supporting this feature saves you bandwidth and overhead.

Can anyone help with this? I did a search for If-Modified-Since HTTP header and notheing came up.

Don't worry about it. Just Google throwing their usual weight around! Your site will get crawled all the time and updated pages will get picked up on without this

I agree with Marinky. Don't worry about it. The Googlebot crawls my pages regularly.

I suspect this might be a part of W3C Compliancy standards for HTML coding but... Some would say that compliancy is irrelevant and in fact many top ranked websites are not compliant.

You can find out more by searching for W3C

Basically newly published sites this year should comply with all google rules, old site are loved by google and are grandfathered in.
But its nearly impossible to comply with every rule some young google editor gets passed within the google society. Theres not one individual at google that knows all thier rules.
