You need a photo editing application to achieve the effects you are looking for. A good one is Paintshop Pro, or ULEAD Photo Impact, which are offering a free trial of the latest version. You could try it at
http://www.ulead.com I highly recommend Photo Impact and it's affordable should you decide to buy it after the trial.
