    Question Activating Gif with click

I am fairly new to site building and have been having fun playing around with a site I want to get published, but am unable to activate an animated GIF with a mouse click. What is the trick? The GIF is a photo that the page curls down on when clicked. Any help would be appreciated.

I would start by looking at the souce of the gif to see if any code was needed to activate it the way you mentioned.............

That would be a dynamic mouse over so that you replace one image with the second image, it can also be done with flash and maybe even a javascript.

In either case, its more than one image, or frame/sprite activated by the mouse.

If you have resized this animated .gif in a program that will not keep it's animated frames, you will have lost the animation.

If you are seeing the .gif and it is not animated this could be the case, or you may need to adjust your internet security settings, under "tools" advanced, to allow animations ...

Thank you all for the input. I tried the mouse over effect and it worked great.
I hope to get the site published in the next couple of days.

    Thanks again

    Lady my dear!

I can resize them all day long and keep the animation moving. You have to use fireworks, or animation shop, or a .gif related program to do so.

Me too Karen, but you must have the correct software to do it, and some people on here do not, right ....

And actually here is a free on-line one to do this and make your .gifs have transparent backgrounds etc.
