Thread: Question about pictures

I may soon be doing some artwork type stuff for customers (when I get another site going), but I was wondering if there is a way to send my customers a preview of their purchase before I go to printing it, and still have the picture protected from them printing it themselves (therefore losing the sale I'm sure). I would like their preview to be clear enough to see all the detail, but thinking if I send them actual size they can just print it off for themselves. Is there anyway to protect my work from being printed on the customers end?

Nope, once the image in on the internet it can be copied in a number of ways. If you put a full quality, full sized version on the net your effectively losing the sale of it

How about sending them a very small version - which would be distorted if enlarged? You could also try embedding the a word - like "sample" across it.

Yep, everything can be gotten around - but the small pic would be much harder to enlarge if you send it with very few pixels. Just let them know it's lesser quality.

Yes, if you're doing these for the average person - putting sample across should handle it - they wouldn't have the software or knowhow to remove it.

Pristine, it's in the forum you found it in LOL - so your question should have been "Where was it before" - which is a moot point to anyone except the person who put it there.
