Default Pages taking a bit long to download

Hello I am new and I hope you can help. I've merged the site I've built with vodahost with another site (which I copied so it blends in) but what I've noticed is the index page & the catalogue index page takes longer to download. I know its probably the image files are too big so i downloaded the pixresizer but I can't get my head around it. Any help you can give me would be great.

    Thanks Darren

Thanks Mike for coming back. If I understand this correctly do I need to put all the pictures through pixalresizer to reduce dpi and then replace the the high dpi images (on the pages I made) with these and then re-publish?

Sorry so long in replying, had to work.

The optimizer will handle pix up to 300 kb, I think, so if yours are smaller already, go for it! If they are larger, pixsize first. Also bear in mind, it would be better to have them at the size, dimensionally, that you wish to publish before optimizing.
