Thread: Images for other sites

Previously I made a page with pictures, right clicked, got the URL of the image, and then was able to use the image on another site. That is now not working, I am getting...
http://domain.com/subdomain/trans.gif
...when I right click.

What is the easiest/best way to have images for use on other sites…

Why do you want to LINK to a page when you can host your own picture? If you are stealing someone elses images, maybe they blocked your ip. That does take the other sites bandwidth yanno?

Sorry, I didn’t explain myself well…
It’s my images and my layout

When I right click and hit properties I get:
http://socks198915.com/ulgmar/trans.gif
but that’s not the images URL.

I use my graphics for a pet site I play on that allows you to make your own personal information page and this is the background.
I am asking if there is a way to host images on your site that you can use on others. Before, I just made a sub-domain, inserted the image, published the page, went to the page, right clicked, went to properties, got the url, and then used it on my pet site page…this however, is not working anymore.

Well the obvious reason is because its NOT there. Did you move the pictures? Rename them?

no I haven't moved or renamed them...I see it as being there.

That's the images url I am trying to get...how did you get it?

Edit: I haven't moved it, there is only one image on the page...I am wondering how you got the URL. Did you right click and go to properties? Or did you do something else, like looking at the source code?

Are you talking about the mouseover effect? I see an icon on the left of the vodahost but not sure how to apply it. I would like to use a key word and if the pointer is on it, the additional text information pops up.
help please.

I dont remember how i got it, probably by right click and properties. Its been more than one day, and ive answered a couple of hundred other questions since then.

Kacie.. Ive no idea what that has to do with the thread, or even what you are asking exactly.. but I will assume you are talking about mousing over a picture and the lil text that pops up there? Thats called an ALT tag and you put that in on properties after you insert the pictures in BV. Im not sure what happens when you click Voda's ICON thingie.

Nope, not talking about mouseovers or anything really technical, I just want to be able to get the url of the image. When I right click on the image and go to properties, I get:

Which is NOT the images url…it is only happening on my newly published pages, so something has changed and I don’t know what…
The ‘trans’ image is showing up as I publish my site, so I don’t think it is an issue with my computer…

There now is a screen shot of the ‘publishing’ box with the ‘trans.gif’ being added to the page.

This will happen with .png images, ... King Naval had the exact answer to this, (technical, lol) .. but yes, you will see this happen ... it's with the .pngs

You can use all images on your site within your voda hosting sites .. however, you cannot use your account to host or to link to images for non voda host related sites ...
