Can someone tell me what is a great banner creator software to buy.

you can make it in paint :S i did mine in paint

here are some choices:
1. you can use logo maker or banner maker with BV

2. you can use getpaint.net - free with lots of tutorials and forum(not as good as BV's forum)
3. you can use picture it pro - made by micorsoft - not making any more but still can buy if you google "picture it pro" - costs about $100 - good technical back up.
4. you can use photoshop - need to work on this software - many tutorials and clinics - i have found about.com gives great support and tutorials and has a very good forum( again not as good as ours) - this software costs is about $500 +
5. another choice is to bid it with voda bids. lots of talented people here and can do what you want at a very resonalbe price.

Fireworks, Illustrator and photoshop, by adobe, are by the far the best for quality but if you can't afford the price of these then the above arean excellent substitution.

i agree with mook...start with the adobe if you have it or can afford it, the others (free) all want links and/or credit and they have ugly ways of showing it

can't in all honesty knock getpaint.net...this is definitely nice freeware!
