Question Design Brochures with BlueVoda?

Customer #25660

Hello,
I'm a BV newbie going through developing my site. I may be barking up the wrong tree here but I also want to design my own front and back brochures using a digital image as a full page, 8.5 x 11, background with text on both sides, to save and upload to a print shop. Can this be done with BV and if so could anyone enlighten me on what steps are involved or if there is a better way without buying pricey software?
Thank You!

Hi, you can try a screen shot for the image, but i don't think the resolution will be high enough for brochure quality.

Hello Chris,
I have a couple of 300dpi digital image scenes (pics) that I think will have enough resolution for an 8.5 x 11 brochure. Not being very savy yet with all this web design and digital technology, I was seeking to find out if the web page development features here in BV would maybe accommodate designing a letter page size brochure to be printed. I think I will send an inquiry off to support and see if they respond. Thank you for your contact!
Regards,
Kenn

Hi ..

Blue Voda is a website builder and whatever you built with blue voda, you could theoretically print off on your computer what you designed in blue voda, but as Chris says this is not the image quality you desire, but what you are wanting to create is a paper product ..you could design your brochure in office and if you do not have office on your computer, you can use open office it's Very Free .. it's a large download and should not be installed if you already have microsoft office ..you printer may want you document as a .pdf, which gives a nice clean appearance .. if you do not have a pdf converter, to convert your document, you can find a free pdf converter here

Thank you LadyEye and Chris. Maybe now I get it. Regardless of the features available for web page design, the resulting resolution to display those pages over the internet is much less than would be needed for print quality. I had locked in on my digital images being high resolution not the resulting page resolution.
