Question background pic not full screen

My background pic does not cover the full screen when published. It leaves a white vertical stripe about an inch or so wide down the left side.
I have used the handles to stretch it and it appears full until I preveiw or publish.
    Thanks

    Hi jbaumer
Right click on your page and go to "Page Properties". There you can size the page to the size of you background pic or visa versa. I suggest to center your page, so it will be centered in all browsers... Hope that helps Doug

Thanks.......it is centered.....which is what confused me......no white strip on the right hand side! I'll play with the page size more.

... It sounds as if you've added your background as an image and you are layering elements on top, so depending on how wide your monitor is will determine how wide those white strips are (which you want to avoid).

Have you tried right clicking your page (make sure you do this away from any elements you have layered), selecting page properties, selecting the background tab and inserting your background image there?

    Regards

    Hey DC
Will the image one selects and enters into background be re sized to the page size specified? Thanks Doug

I think you will have to try it but I am pretty sure I've read here that if the image is to small it will checker board itself.

My feeling is if it is too small, you wouldn't want it stretched any way because it would look nasty.

    Best to experiment
