    Question Lightbox trouble

I'm working on my first ever website and just got the first cast published. In preview everything works as I expect it to, but when online some of the pictures in the lightboxes I use won't load. I've tried to scale the images down, but the result is allways the same: one or more (varies) just show up with a text in the thumnails and a loading icon when clicked. This occurs at http/antefoto.com/bolig.html.

Otherwise, I'm completely stoked to have found BV and now be able to build the website I've planned for so long.

Hi, was looking at this page http://antefoto.com/leilighetto.html & i can only assume that you may of moved your images on your machine to another folder before publishing. Re-enter the images & re-publish.

Nah, I've re-entered and re-published many times allready now, using different file sizes as I first thought this could be beccause the original frames were to big for efficient webhandling. But, as I said, some (not the same each time) just will not work. All the pictures have the same photoshop editing, and in preview everything's fine.

Ah! i just seen your images are being named & saved in none English script/text. Change the way the images are named to a standard text. Then re-enter & republish again.
I should of seen that one coming. lol.

That looks better! Try & keep the image kb's & sizes down to a minimum if using the light box.

    Good luck.

Hi, you need to keep a good short & simple name to each image & use hyphens or under scores between the words. IE: http://www.stayingincannes.com/lounge1%20(600%20x%20450).jpg is not good. But! http://www.stayingincannes.com/lounge-1.jpg would be better.

Would anyone know if there is a way to control the size of the image in lightbox once it is expanded. It seems to me that my images are too large for the average screen once expanded.
    Thank You

The light box displays the image at the same "size" as it is saved in your computer. You will have to resize the image before you include it in your light box.

    Talking Re: Lightbox trouble

Is there a way to "stack" the images for light box- meaning I only want one image to appear on the page then when clicked the rest will follow?

Apologies, just getting started with my BV site

Not with the light box, you would ahve to use another program such as JAlbulm or look at some of the viewers offered at DynamicDrive.com
Most programs are compatible with BlueVoda and install easily.

Thanks D'son, I'll take a look into that. I guess the other option is to make the images small thumbnails taking up less page space. Or I guess i could make a gallery page and link to it.

    thanks for the quick reply.

    Question Re: Lightbox trouble

Hi everybody. I am new to this too. I did watch the video about Lightbox. Everything ok until I want to see my page using the Preview. When I click on it, instead of getting the function behind, I get the source code in Notepad. Do I have complete access to all the Voda website editing features? Is there anything that I am missing?
