Thread: Navigation Images Changing

Hi This one is driving me spare.
I am developing a dual language site (English and Spanish). There are about 7-8 pages for each language. The pages are basicallly the same with only the text and navigation buttons changing.

I have developed the English side without problems and everything works fine. There is a consistent set of buttons for all pages. ie the home button displays the same .gif file on all pages.

When I try to develop the Spanish site everytime I preview it the navigation buttons generate a new set of identical buttons with different names eg bv01110-bv01117 on Home page bv01118-bv01125 on About Us page. The navigation buttons are identical.

I have tried everything, cleared cache before saving, copied and pasted the navigation buttons from page to page, etc.

I could upload over 100 buttons but want to keep it as clean and easy as I can.

When you create pages using the Save As comand, to create a new page starting from an existing one, all buttons will have the same name.

If you use Copy and Paset instead, new istances of the objects (buttons) are generated so they have new names.

Please note that this (Copy - Pste) is the correct way to do things, as, with the first method, you will have issues with buttons changing in already published pages when you modify and upload a new one.
