Question Published first page and now connecting others....

Hi,

I got my home page up, www.dansobus.com
But now i need my other pages published and connected. How do i give those other pages a URL, like www.dansobus.com/MLS
or
MLS.dansobus.com
and how do i get the BlueVoda file onto that page.
Please help

give those pages a url by using all small letters, no spaces,

whatever you name and save and publish the page as will be how you recall it ..... the blue voda program automatically adds the .html at the end of the url for the new page ... however, to view it or link it from another page you must actually type this in .... not when you are naming, saving and publishing though ....

example

2nd page name grapes
- save as grapes
- publish as grapes
- retrieve as http://www.yourdomainname.com/grapes.html

You must add a button, image, navigation bar, menu bar, or a text link from your main (index) page to be able to click to open this next page and every other page that you make .....

It is a good thing to plan all your pages and have all pages link from one another throughout your site. This makes the navigation of your site easy. This is what you want.

Ideally it is nice that every page you make begins with the very same design as your first page ... only adding the new page content in between, using the main design as a template ....

There are a few tutorials you should consider viewing so you can be sure of what you are doing, along with these instructions.

Good luck ...

Question Re: Published first page and now connecting others....

Hey again,

Well what you said really helped me understand the whole process, but for some reason i have an "mls" page. Saved as "mls" and i go to publish it and it works. So i go to the website and it comes up with "Index of /mls." Am i doing something wrong, or is it? I do understand what you said, now i easily can update my homepage, with the link going to my page, but thats what it comes up as.

Thanks for helping,

Kyle Sobus

You need to be careful to publish only as mls - nothing more and then you should retrieve by /mls.html and then of course link it from your index page ....

I think what you have done is published that page prior to the new publish as Mls - note the capital ... if so remove that page from your public_html directory in your control panel, in the file manager .....

Your colours on your site are really nice ... I them alot .....

Question Re: Published first page and now connecting others....

I'm going to repeat what i said but more understandable. I'm not good at explaining thing ^^/
The mls page is linked from
dansobus.com
and when you click on the MLS Search button it sends you to
dansobus.com/mls
so then it gives me the page saying "Index of /mls" and that bunch of info.
So if i want to have my Blue Voda mls page come up i should...?

You may have understood me... I'm a little slow... lol
Thanks about the colors. ^^/

you are doing great .....

Okay you need to input the url on the search button, on the index page as http://www.dansobus.com/mls.html

right now you just have it saying http://www.dansobus.com/mls

you need to add the .html on the url that you type ....

this will then bring up the correct page for you ....

Hope this is what you are asking, lol ....

we can continue trying, we won't run out of tokens, lol

Kasobus...

just looked at your website. (Nice) Couple of suggestions/corrections: in the box "Beatiful Faces..." change to "Beautiful Faces..." (you left out the "u").

Last paragraph, same box: indent? (as you did in the first para). Something wrong with sentence about No. Carolina being something "and Safe, and an amazing..." 1. make S in safe lowercase. 2. the "and an amazing..." grammatically unwieldy (wrong, actually). Put a period after safe, then make the last part of your sentence a separate sentence. You'll need a verb, so maybe something like "It also has an amazing..." Or something of that ilk.

Sorry to be such a nitpicker. Can't help it.
