What you will need to do: Highlight your text, click the hyperlink button and then click the edit/add style button. You then add a style which brings up a box where you can change the colors of your text link. Once you get into the box it is easy. Of course when you are in BV your hyperlinked text will still look blue/underlined to you. When you preview it or publish it, the style you chose will show.

Hi... So how do you get the blue to stay constant (what style to use)?.. I keep getting a reddish color...my different links' colors are inconsistent... Thanks Doug

Hi Doug,
You can change your hyperlink colors in the edit style area of your hyperlink box. Highlight your text, click the hyperlink button, click style tab, add style and change the colors. If you are still having trouble, watch the tutorial again. It is pretty self explanatory.

Using the text for internal linking structure helps quit a bit with describing your site to the search engines. Did you get it sorted out?

Hi, Doug, you won’t get rid of the colour until you clear the cache or reboot the computer. The colour you are seeing is a visited text colour. Bit like going back to Google & it shows the sites you have already visited with the link in a different colour. .

I tried to change my link appearance style but nothing will work.

I even changer all 4 type of links (active, visited, unvisited and hover) but I keep getting the same underlined links across all my page.

I highlighted my text and everything as usual.. can someone help please ?? What could I be doing wrong here???

Thanks

Hi, What are you expecting or would like to see when you hyperlink a word, apart from a blue underline word?
If you are getting other colours? Did you clear your cache?

Are you publishing? Text links on the BV page will be blue underlined - but they will take on the look you give them when published.

Chris,

I have heard others talking about 'clearing your cache'.... how the heck do you do that? Is that another term for deleting cookies, temporary files, etcetera?
thanks

don't know if it is working for you yet or not - but did you give it a "style name" i.e. style1 and be sure to click all the ok buttons remember you have to publish to see it.

Question Link text but keep its color unchanged?

Hi, I have a question to add to this thread. A page I'm creating in BV has a fairly large text box at the top. The first few words in this box are white, the rest of the words are green.

I want to link this entire text box to another page (on the same site), but I don't want the white and the green to change to other colors at all--i.e., not when the user hovers their mouse over the text, and not after they have clicked it and then return to the page. So far I have not found a way to do this in BV.

Is there a way I can do this without creating a .jpeg or other graphic image of the text? Thank you.

Hi, Jim.

You could use a transparent shape over the text box and make it into a link. It's a trick I use alot. Lol Just use the shape tool then change the properties to make it transparent and set up the link.
