Navigation Bars - Slow loading - How can this be improved?

I'm using a navigation bar with 8 buttons. The navigation bar loads very slowly (always last item to load on page). I've tried to load my pages from home (DSL connection) and at work (T1) and see the same results. What contributes to this slow loading and can it be minimized?

This could have to do with the entire size of the page.

Is there a good "rule of thumb" for page sizes? I know there are tools available to analyze load times. Do you have any favorites?

Actually the only rule of thumb I go by is less is more....Use Pix Resizer
for all your images.

may be your navigational bars is a bit karge in size change that into a gif file if graohic try pix resizer to reduce the file size or contact me

our nav bars are nothing in size....its...

1) your total page size
2) your internet conection
3) The load on your ISP
