I have to pay and register a domain name before i can link my pages together. Why can't i just link, and link it as a file, why would i need to creat www.mydomain.com/logos or something? I want to see how my links work first? Maybe i'm just stupid, but so far i haven't found anything that says that i can link my pages together, so can i or can i not?

Becuase hyperlinks do not work unless they can actually resolve
to a domain name.... for example our features page is the below.

features.html

but the hyperlink is

www.vodahost.com/features.html

the www.vodahost.com part makes the hyperlink work.

You do not have to purchase a domain name now.You can create
hyperlinks with the domain name you intend to purchase
down the road. This is not a porblem, but you will have two issues.

1) You can not test your hyperlinks to see if they work.
2) If somebody else registers your domain name, all your hard work would
of been in vain and you will have to go back and edit every single hyperlink
on every single page of your website.

In a nutshell...

If your serious about doing business on the internet. Get a domain name asap...
