targeting links in a iframe

hi: need a little help. I made a menu with all my pages.I put the menu in a iframe so i can put them on each page.it works great but the page i click on opens in the iframe.how do i get the page to open in a new window?I did this<a href="http://mysite.com" target="blank"> but it dont work. what am i doing wrong thanks

Use _top for the links of your menu
