Hyperlink question

Hi,

I follwed the video tutorial and created a hyperlink to a .net address. it said it was invalid. Can you help.

Make sure when you type in the url you add http://www.

Hey thanks, I did have http:// in but it's not a www. address.
Also it ends in .net/

It's an external link. Shouldn't I be able to link to external links as well?
I'm new to this , so apologies if sound ignorant.

Presume we can links to any type of link, i.e. external and internal???

Yes you can ...

Let's say you want to link to McDonalds ..

type in Happy Burger - take your mouse and highlight happy burger, then go to insert, choose link, then type in the website address - this needs to be identical to what you see in the address bar when you visit this website yourself ..

it's always a good idea to set the target for this external link to _blank .. this will keep your website open and open another browser window for the link ..
(You do this in the same box that you type the address)
