Default Having trouble linking pages together

Hey guys I'm new to Blue Voda and just started building my page a couple days ago.

I have a hosting account and domain (.com) so I'm all set with that. I currently have my index page which when gone to, it says my site title and under construction coming soon.

Anyways, I tried to test out linking to other pages within my site so I created a sample page and linked my logo from the index page to my sample page. I published both pages and they were a success. When I goto my index and click on my sample link, I get a 404 error, not found on server.

Any help?

Hi

what is your site? the page you are linking to needs to be published for it to work on preview. goes the same for your sample pages.

I did, if you hover over my logo you can see it links to http://www.bonushunting101.com/sample1.html

Click it, and you still get the error.

Hi

perhaps you should go to CP and check that sample1.html is there.

Where in CP do I look?

Like I said I'm new here, I've watched all the videos and it doesn't explain in detail where to save pages, just how to name them.

Do I upload them in file manager, BlueFTP, or anything like that? I'm lost.

My pages look good I just wish people can see them.

right then

in CP, choose file, choose file manager. the default is webroot (that is all default pages go unless you change then when publishing). it will then show you in a list everything you have in public_html. find your sample1.html there. I have to sleep now so will not be able to answer you till tom. There are good folks here who can assist you, just be patient.

My sample page has a menu with a template and a picture on it.

This is my error message:

The requested URL /sample1.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I published sample1.bvp and it was successful.

Linked my logo on my index to http://www.bonushunting101.com/sample1.html

Then I get the error.

Funny thing is, I made a blank page called "sample" and all it had on it was the word "Sample" in 12 pt font, and it worked?

Whats the deal?

Check the publishing path and make sure its to public_html/

Usually its published to the WRONG PATH, or MIS SPELLED. You have to use the File, PUBLISH .. you cannont ftp pages up to the server.

I specified public_html/

When I goto CP, File Manager, public_html none of my pages are in there? Except for index.php, sample1.php and all my .gif, .jpg files along with pngfix.***.

?

your link should be sample1.php and NOT sample1.html

http://www.bonushunting101.com/sample1.php works just fine

If it has a form or a single page menu it will have to be php and NOT html
