    Default linking questions

I am in the early stages of creating my site. I thought I had linked my first two pages OK, but when trying the links in my browser the following message comes up "Firefox does not know how to open this address because the protocol (c) isn't associated with any program". I thought http is the protocol: what stupid mistake am I making? Help would be much appreciated.

    Vodahost,
I have watched that tutorial countless times, but I keep getting the same message as I described in my opening question. I know I'm being stupid about something but I just do not know what to do. I have clicked on my navigation button, then the link icon to open the dialogue, inserted the full URL beginning with the http protocol, then put in the target as defined. Why should I get the message I described from Firefox?

Have you published your page? Sounds as though you are previewing things on your own hard drive (C) .... you will need to publish things and the url will need to contain your domain name.

    LadyEye,
You have gotten to the heart of my stupidity! I'm used to working in dreamweaver where you can create a local site and do all linking as one progresses. Comes of making assumptions.

Glad to help, glad to have gotten to your heart, but definitely it's not stupidity ... I prefer to call it "Brain Overload" ... with all the excitement of building and all there is to learn, one can only say, it's great you have discovered the Blue Voda Way .... you will love it!!
