Thread: MORE page link problems!!!

Is there anybody out there that can get me thru my page link issues....PLEASE!!! .....Im trying to link my pages with no success...Ive read the threads over and over again, I've viewed the tutorials until I can recite them from memory......However I am still lost......I don't know why i can't get these pages to link UP!... I went back and deleted everything from my file index and republished my index page....then i published the second page....but when you click "ENTER"....it gives you a 404 error!!! Im not savvy at this ...so please give it to me as basic as possible....

Can you give us the URL to your home page, Mikki, so we can have a look at your links?

Are these pages showing in your Control Panel > File Manager (or through Blue FTP)? If they have published to the right place then they should be visible in your public_html folder.

Please also check that you have spelt things correctly. Your links should be identical to the pages - in use of upper and lower case characters, punctuation and if they are singular or plural words (content/contents/Content/Contents.html etc).

Question....for instance lets take that "Enter" link on my very first page (index page).....now in the link properties for the word "Enter" i have http://www.nspg.org/content.html . The page that was designated as "nspg content" was saved as nspg content.bvp in bluevoda Then I clicked publish and it said published successfully. so how is it that when i click on Enter online it takes me to an error page

That link is looking for a page called content.html if you have called it anything other than just 'content' (i.e. adding nspg in front) then that could be the cause of your problem. Open this page in BlueVoda and save as content nothing before and nothing after. Then publish it. Clear your cache and try it. Please let us know how you get on.

Hey!

Go to the appropriate forum and at the top left of the forum block you will see a 'New Thread' button. Click this and you're good to go.

IT worked!!! i saved the pages as one thing and linked them as another.....say for instance my content page...i saved it in bluevoda as nspg content, when it should have been saved as content....THANKS A BUNCH!!!
