Thread: Problems highlighting text!!!

Hi all!

I think I asked this question in the wrong place earlier...

I need to link my text to pages but I can't highlight my text! Every time I click on my text box it goes to edit the word...

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?!

After you have clicked on the box, drag and highlight the entire word (just as you would copy & paste) then go to insert, then link, then type in the url of the page you wish to link to ....

That's what I've been doing but when I click to drag nothing happens! Having a bit of a nightmare with it!! Any suggestions as to what might have gone wrong with this?

So strange ... try deleting the word and retyping what you want to link again, or perhaps just open a new page, try a few words, try to link those words, and then that might tell you if it is just what is on that one page you are trying to do or everywhere ...

Very strange! I started doing this a long time ago before I got caught up with other things and had no problems then...
I've tried on a new page and it's doing the same thing....
There wouldn't be a way that it might be highlighting the word but doing it transparently would there? I'm wondering if there's some settings I might need to change...

I would try downloading and installing the latest version of blue voda and see if this corrected your problem.

Thanks. I've tried that and am having the same problems which is weird because nobody else seems to have had this trouble... Can't understand what's gone wrong...

Oh, wait! I've downloaded it three times now and they do say third time lucky don't they?! It's working fine now! Can't explain what's happened there but at least I'm up and running again! Probably my computer messing things up!

Another way to highlight text is to click in front of the first word, depress and hold the Shift key and then click at the end of the last word.
