Thread: Broken link?

sitereportcard.com shows that I have a broken link. I've looked and was unable to find it. So I went to xml-sitemaps.com and they showed I had one broken link. I paid their small fee ( and it was worth it!) and corrected the link.
But now sitereportcard still shows the same broken link. When I click on 'broken link' it shows "http://" (those are my quotes). I reran xml-sitemaps.com and it does not show a broken link now, went to cPanel X and File Manager to see if I could find "http://" but nothing.
Any suggestions on how to find this? Could it be some quirk that sitereportcard is finding that xml-sitemap is not?
I'm still new here and know just enough to be dangerous.

What was the link that was broken? If it now works or has been deleted then problem solved. It might just take time for the records to be updated. You did not have to pay as voda cp would have spotted it for you right at the bottom of your awstats.

Thanks. I did correct the link that xml-sitemaps.com reported (it gave me the from and to pages) and no broken links show on xml-sitemaps.com now. But sitereportcard.com continues to show 1 broken link and it is

I had looked in CP and noticed the Pages Not Found but I didn't know enough to interpret it. It appears to be stats from the very beginning and I had lots of them at first. I do find the one that xml-sitemaps.com found but I see nothing for http://

sitereportcard.com grades my site a 6 out of 10 on this broken link and that sounds bad. So I would love to correct it but can't find it. I get the broken link error when I check sitereportcard.com for

It appears I'm getting a broken link on every page except

Is there any way to reset/delete the stats just for Error Codes - Pages Not Found in awstats without resetting everything?

Is this worth worrying about?

Nope. As karel says, if it's fixed that's the important thing. They'll update when they update. Your overall success on the web does not depend on this. Good luck...
