Thread: BLANK or SELF target for a download file?

Hi, just need your advice because i can't make up my mind yet:

Would you choose to target a download file within a SAME window (SELF) or NEW one (BLANK)? Do u see any advantage/ disadvantage for either one for your visitors? I am still undecided..tried both, but can't decide which one will be better. Thanks in advance.

Hi Cosmic... Decide for yourself... here's a past clip from the forum..
Re: Opening a page in a new window
_blank: will open in a new full size window.
_parent: only used for links inside a popup, to make open the new link in the window that has generated the popup.
_top: opens the link in whichever window is the top one.
_self: opens in the same window.
By default, _self is used if you don't specify.
