Thread: links from cells

hi,
at last i have managed to make some progress on a very basic homepage,at gemporium.biz, and been able to link to other pages via rollovers placed over table cells.
i cannot find any help on how to simply add a page link directly via the cell. does anyone know the code, and how to insert it, to make a link? i found the cell html box, but can't write the code to go in it.

Create the table, insert the data/text/image what ever into the cell, right click to highlight it and the click the link icon at the top of the page builder just as you would any other link. Good Luck.

i've been trying to do that, but when i highlight the cell the link button in the top toolbar is always greyed out, and i can't find any other link buttons to try.
can you think of a reason for the link button being offlimits?
it's very frustrating!

You can't highlight the cell it self you highlight what is in the cell, your text, data etc. Then you can link that. If you want to have it so the whole cell is a link, put a shape over the cell (just slightly smaller to avoid run over), set it to transparent, double click the shape and link it through the properties.

you fooled me with the fact that the cell lights up when you click on it...i thought that would be classed as "highlighted".
anyway...tried putting a shape over my pic and it's working!
