Thread: Email Hyperlinks

was looking for information on hyperlinking a email thread on my website to my web site email.

what should the text be in the link toolbar. should I use http: or the mailto: file type
Im a bit confused on what is best.
I want the hyperlink on my website to send mail to email account for the same website if that is even possible.

If your not using a form, then use the mailto: in your link

Are none bothering to review the TUTORIALS anymore to learn even the most basic skills?????

There are a few issues concerning just linking your email on your website.

1) It's a spammers playground .. so you will be better off encrypting your email at the very least at www.dynamicdrive.com ..

2) Not everyone has a default email program on their computer that will open up when you click this link .. so this means for some users this link will not work .. it will be best as well, if you also, apply on your page, the email address in plain text without linking it, so that some users can copy and paste your email into their email program they are using ..

A form is highly recommended to alleviate all of the above and is fairly simple now with the blue voda form wizard ..
