Thread: Hyperlinking

I have read all the threads on hyperlinking and can't find what I am doing wrong. As so many have stated, "I can bring up my home page , but not the other 9 pages". I thought I had tried all the advise that has been given to others, but apparently not.

Okay, the home page (index) comes up and from there I can click the "Must Read" bar and go there. But I can't click on "Home" and go back to the home page from the "Must Read" page, plus none of the other pages will publish. I also get the 404 error on some of the pages and website page not found on the rest. And yes, I too am a moron, website virgin, don't know what I'm doing. Navigation Bars or the page properties or neither? So again, if you will, lamens terms or just draw me a picture. Thanks to who ever can help me.
Not to memtion my Paypal link seems to be screwed up.

I just tried to navigate your site. The only link that worked was your "must read" link--both on the navigation menu and for all three links in your navigation links on the bottom of your page.

So, whatever you did on your "must read" link works. Try that on all pages, including your home page, and see if that works. Make sure all pages have the same name you have indicated on your bv folder like www.yoursitename/pagename.html.

The link back to your home page did not work either. Make doubly sure you have spelled everything correctly.

I have just checked out your site. It appears that only the first two tabs work.

See if any of the below helps you at all?

1. When you save a file in the Bluevoda website builder, make sure you give it all lower case letters (no capitals, & no spaces). Then just save it.

2. When you want to hyper link a text, highlight it with your mouse, then go to the hyperlink icon (looks like the earth, with a chainlink below it).

3. Click on this icon. In the top box (Link type), ensure this is on http:

4. In the URL box below, you need to type in the full address of the url where you want it to open.

For example, my home page is www.psnutrition.co.uk
My second page is www.psnutrition.co.uk/about.html

So if I am trying to hyper link my "about" tab (& I have highlighted "about" with my mouse) then in the hyperlink url I should type the below www.psnutrition.co.uk/about.html

You need to ensure the .html is added at the end of each url.
Do this for every page you have (by hyperlinking the relevant text) then following the above process.

Save each page as you go along, without CAPITAL letters. And ensure you use the exact same name you have give when you type in the URL when you click on the hyper link icon.
