Thread: Help with Hyperlinks!

Hi All

I'm a newbie and just started building my website last night. I have registered my domain and am just waiting for confirmation from Bluevoda. I was wondering if I can add hyperlinks to my pages before I have my domain registered, or do I need to wait until it's all okayed? I'm so new to all of this, I've never even used hyperlinks before, so you may be hearing a lot from me!!

If you have opened an account with Vodahost you will receive a welcome letter containing all the details that you will need to publish your website.

Thanks David. I've watched the tutorials and they all seem pretty straightforward - good news! Just one question. I guess I have to wait for my welcome email before I can set-up hyperlinks and activate them? Is that right? Sorry if I appear dumb but this is all so new!

No you dont have to wait...........go ahead and start designing and place your links, then when your site has propogated around the www you can then test your links.

You can preview how your pages will look in your browser as well, but the links wont work until you have published your pages.

Note:

If you have not received your welcome email within 24 hrs, then check your spam just in case its there.............

When using Blue Voda to create your web pages, you can use the PREVIEW function to test your page (and your links) in a live browser at any time prior to actually publishing them, without having to wait for your account to be established.

Comes in real handy for those that prefer to complete their website before actually purchasing hosting, as it allows them the opportunity to simply publish all their pages in a single session rather than have the SE's pick up the site in pieces or cache it as "incomplete" (a less than favorable initial ranking).
