Thread: PDF Download help

Good afternoon all. I am trying to make a pdf file available for download on my company's website. I've searched through the tutorials and through the forums with little success. Is there a step-by-step tutorial for the complete idiot (me) or any other resources to make this happen?

Just UPLOAD the .pdf file to your server(use FTP or your file manager)
and then provide a link to the .pdf file.

Thanks for responding. I know how to hyperlink, but I've never link to anything in my file manager. Do I just use my domain name and then the name of the document once I've uploaded it to the public directory? Any guidance would be appreciated. I'm a total newbie at this. Thanks.

Right. www dot yoursite dot com/yourfile.pdf (you know what I mean).

That's assuming you've placed your pdf file in your public_html folder. If you have it on a different page it would look like this: www dot yoursite dot com/yourotherpage.html/yourfile.pdf

When someone clicks on the link, a window will pop up and the person can look at or save the pdf file.
