Thread: Linking Pages

I am at my wits end, and looking for some guidance. I have built serveral pages for my website dstgreen.com. I have published my index page and am trying to link menu bars to other pages. www.dstgreen.com/reservations.html I have not been able to link any of the page together. I have wathced the tutorials over and over again and have followed them to a tee. No success. can someone please help. Frustration is setting in.

I have Tom, over and over.

On th index page, I saved as index.bvp and published. One the www.dstgreen.com/reservations page, I saved as reservations,html and published that page as well. I go to my index page on the web and it loads perfectly, but when I click on reservations, it takes me to a error page 404.

I could really use some wisdom from other members who have successfully launched their sites.

What am I, chopped liver? Just Kidding!! I hope none of this sounds like I'm talking down here, but it's often the simple stuffs that mess us up.

1. Are you using the Publish icon in BV to publish each page?

2. Does BV respond with "Successfully Published?" (or whatever the wording is)

3. When you created your page--let's use your reservations page as an example--did you save it as "reservations"--all lowercase, no "html" or anything else? It has to be saved without an extension; BV adds that automatically.

4. When you published, did you publish it as "reservations"--all lowercase, no extension? You don't add any extension when publishing.

I have gone back through the entire process, and everything is typed correctly and published just as the tutorials said to do. This is driving me crazy.

Ah--ok, I see what's up. As you say, you are looking for a published page named "reservations.html". But there's a form on the page (my fault, shoulda guessed it by the name "reservations"). Any page with a form has the extension "php" attached, not "html."
