Thread: URL Redirects

Dear Team

If I could get some help on this one that would be great.

I would like to do an URL Redirect from my site.

Scenario is (eg only):

(1)My website - clients come and see my site (www.sharnee.com etc)
(2)On my site they click on a link to my affiliate site ((www.bv.com/affiliate_id_007). Instead of displaying the affiliate link I want to continue to display www.sharnee.com. or even another domain name?
(3)What is the best way to set this up?

Youd have to have access to the cname records or have the OWNER of the actual site do that for you.

So just giving this some more thought...

my website www.sharnee.com/index

On my website index page can I send them to another internal page within my site say www.sharnee.com/someinternalpage1

and when they get to someinternalpage1 then that redirects them to www.bv.com/affiliate_id_007 but has www.sharnee.com/someinternalpage1 displayed in the URL?

No.. You cant do that without ACCESS to the AFFILIATES HOSTING.. is this for the blue voda website builder? Vodahost? LOL

Yes you can REDIRECT THEM .. but WHY BOTHER? They are gonna end up in the same place NO? Just two seconds later. But it wont be to your domain it will be to bv.com/affiliate page.. no matter what you do.
