    Default Help with linking please

    Hi,

    Please go to http://www.forextraderspa.com/velenthankcx.html

The green EBook Box that is in the "download square" of the above url should link to a folder that I have uploaded to FTP which contains 3 files. The ftp uploaded folder's name is PA site download and is ftp'd into http://www.forextraderspa.com

The folder contains 3 files, 1 is the instruction manual and the other two are the software files.

The html code for the green Ebook box is

    <a href="http://www.forextraderspa/pasitedownload.html"><img src="PAvSept09.jpg" id="Image1" alt="" align="top" border="0" style="width:141px;height:182px;"></a>

Could some kind soul please give me the complete coding which will give the buyer of the product the files in the PA site download folder when they click the box?

    Thank you
    Hans

first of all when i click on the green box i get this url address:
    http://www.forextraderspa/pasitedownload.html

that would tell me that you have a page named "pasitedownload"
i dont think you wanted that. what did you name your file that you transferred over to the server? PA site download? if that is what you named it, it is not named correctly. what format do you have this ebook? is it a doc or pdf? let's say it is a doc, which would have been done in word and you name i pa_site_download, then your link would be:
    http://www.forextraderspa/pa_site_download.doc
if it is a pdf file then your link would be:
    http://www.forextraderspa/pa_site_download.pdf

are you seeing the process? name your file no spaces, no caps with the extension, pdf or doc? then ftp your file to the public_html directory(this is done by default usually) - then create your link either with text or an image, such as your book and follow the linking as above.
    hope this helps

Thank you for the reply... I think I may have a problem... the folder which i ftp'd can be renamed without spaces in the file name. No problem, I think. However, that folder contains 3 files one of which is a pdf and the others are special MT 4 platform file extensions of which one is a .exe file... can I leave the link with only the folder name? if so, what would the extension be, and will the recipient be able to open and download the content?
    thank you
    Hans

The best thing to do would be to ZIP the files together in one package and then just LINK to the zip file.
