I uploaded book pages as PDF files into a zipfiles folder in FTP. I do not manage to give it the correct URL - how to hyperlink each page correctly? or is it better not to have it ziped?

Usually a zip file is used as a downloadable file.
Always open and place the zip files in a seperate file in your "public_html" in cpanel.
Name it as short as possible with one or two syllable.
If you name it "japan" once uploaded to your folder it will become "japan.exe".
Your hyperlink will be as follows:
Once you enter the above in your browser and hit go or search;
A download window will be activated.

Just pay particular attention to how you've named these zip files and make sure the url is letter perfect.
When naming these files make sure you don't have spaces between words use underscores if you want to seperate them.
Typical url may look like http://www.mydomain.com/mydocument.zip
I personally like zip files instead of a direct link to a pdf. It gives me the option to cancel instead of hanging around for a pdf to load, especially if I wasn't expecting it.

To have these zip files in a seperate file can be your choice and not a 'must'
If you follow this link http://www.mouldtreatments.co.uk/checkout.html and go to the bottom of the page, you will see pfd documents that have been zipped up.
All the best

I scaned a book's pages in foreign language - it is not clear enough to read as a photo, the only other option I had was to use pdf. I had to email it to my computer one by one. How can I put the book's pages on my site and avoid the inconveniences of pdf? I will be very thankful if you can tell me!
I thought I should download pdf to ftp. Am I wrong?
I check this link http://www.mouldtreatments.co.uk/checkout.html and the pdf documents that have been zipped up. It opened up into a zipfile and then I had to click on the specific file to open it - I would like for people to get to each page with one click and if possible with out waiting time.
How can I do that?
Then link them straight to the pdf
1) Upload the pdf
2) Link to pdf would be something like http://www.mysite.com/mydocname.pdf

You still have 2x clicks to do....some ebooks its enough to just scroll down to immediately get the next page. I will be happy with one click on 'next' using iframe how can I achieve that?
OK show me an example and I will point you in the right direction.

In this example you can download three pages together and them you just scroll down/up to move from one page to the other.

I saw an even better example but I can not find it.
I would like to at least provide the readers with the possibility of downloading a chapter at once and then scrolling between the pages
OK I don't if any of the members here know of any FREE ones but I reckon you will need to buy Adobe Acrobat to allow you to compile your pdf's in the manner you are asking http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/acrobat/

It is better not to jumble everything into your "public_html"
Open a new folder and name it "pdf" and then upload your pdf's into this folder.
To link:
Type in "www.yourdomain.com/pdf/whatever.pdf or .zip"
Take note that when nameing your files the principle is the same.
Just name it "whatever" without the file extension.
