    Default Menu Problems

Hi. On my web site, www.accuratemet.com, I have a problem with 3 menu buttons (Corrosion, Traction-Grip, and Wear. When clicked on I recieve "Requested URL...... Web page cannot be found. Even though the 3 pages are shown on my control panel, they will not open.
Also, on my contact page, when you click on send, it sends the e-mail inquiry ok but does not open the sucess page.

    1. Servers don't lie, and the pages you mention do not seem to be published (which is why the server cannot "find" them):
    http://accuratemet.com/corrosion.html
    http://accuratemet.com/traction-grip.html
    http://accuratemet.com/wear.html

    2. Simply publish them once again (just to be super-sure), making sure that they are titled, saved, and published as seen in your links above: double-check spelling to be sure both the links and the pages are the same as well.

    3. Regarding your Contact page .... In FORM PROPERTIES (double-click on FORM to reveal) be sure you have checked "Use built-in PHP form processor to send email" and fill in the required fields with the correct information. (Re-Publish Contact page after making changes)

    4. Also in FORM PROPERTIES, be sure you have entered the proper link to your SUCCESS page, making sure the spelling is correct and the link is accurate in all respects.

    5. Re-publish your SUCCESS page once again (as a HTML page, not PHP), to be sure it too has in fact been properly published.

    6. And just to be safe: you are Publishing your pages using only the Publish command or icon from within Blue Voda, correct? And you are properly leaving the "public_html/" field in the Publish Dialog box empty, correct?

    7. Refresh your browser, being sure to load the new page versions. If you still cannot "see" the pages that have indeed been re-published properly, you may need to dump your browser cache and Temp files folder.

REMEMBER: ALWAYS RE-PUBLISH EACH PAGE AFTER MAKING ANY CHANGES!

Thanks for the tips. All is working now. For future use, when I want to make a change to a web page, should I delete the existing page before publishing the updated one?

No. Publishing any page with corrections or updates re-writes the previously published page completely.
